Nov 17, 2021 · A cylinder that is performing will cause the engine to run worse when you break that line loose. A bad cylinder will cause less drop in engine RPM, if any. Also, the white smoke may decrease when you crack the line loose on the bad cylinder. Any cylinder that is noticeably different than the others is cause for further investigation.

Aug 20, 2018 · Cummins M11/ISM (it's a 2003, so not sure which it is) in an International dump truck. Engine starts really hard. Probably cranks a good 10 seconds before it fires up. Start up gives a good puff of smoke. On acceleration it stumbles and misses, especially around 1,100-1,250 RPM. Loaded it will miss a bit at any RPM when accelerating.

With all the new parts, you shouldn't have any issues unless like SGT says the IP is turned up too high. Non turbo engines can be over fueled very easily. Even though you installed injectors, they are rebuilds and subject to failure.

'04 Freightliner, Detroit Diesel problem blowing white smoke
May 23, 2011 · I have a 2004 Freightliner Century Class with a Detroit Diesel motor in it. There is a problem with the truck blowing white smoke out. When it starts up, it works fine and everything after you drive it and stop somewhere, it blows out white smoke at idle for about 2-3 minutes. Every 1000 miles or so, there is very little antifreeze missing.
